Description
Wanshu, the 14th kata. This kata is believed to be influenced by a Chinese man named "Wang Ji." The name Wanshu translates to "excellent wrist." The starting or ready position of this kata is a hand folded over a fist. This kata introduces hidden fist punches and a simultaneous open high and low strike. Depending on different interpretations of certian moves, there is a neck strike that is introduced in the kata as well. The ending of this kata is the same as Rohai, meaning some verisons have two open middle blocks and some have three. Similar to the other advanced katas, combinations make up majority of the kata.
