Description

Wankan or Okan, the 12th kata. The creator of this kata is unknown. The name Wankan translates to "king's crown." This kata also has an emphasis on making space in the beginning moves such as pushing out to do an open-hand block and fists pushed out sideways. A combination including three punches, two blocks, and a grab, is introduced in this kata that is similar to advanced katas.
