Description
Gojushiho, the 16th kata. While it is uncertain who the creator of the kata is, it possible that it can be Matsumura Sokon. This kata is actually practiced in various styles of martial arts including Korean martial arts as well. The name Gojushiho translates to "54 steps." The kata has resemblence to drunken style as some moves are meant to deceive the attacker. Gojushiho contains combinations of open-hand blocks and open-hand strikes. This kata is considered to be really advanced and is reserved for higher ranking students.
